Comment This view taken on Victoria Avenue (Harrogate Road) looks towards the crossroads of Warren House Lane & Whitehouse Lane which is the access road to Leeds Bradford Airport. The trees planted for Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897 have reached maturity, but no pavements have been laid. Donated by Andrew Emsley.

This crossroads used to be called Crown Point.
Harrogate Road runs horizontally across the centre, the Long Stoop is just out of sight on the left.
Warren House Lane runs from Harrogate Road to the horizon, Warren House Farm is on the right. In the foreground is Whitehouse Lane which leads to Leeds Bradford Airport. After major alterations to the road system in the early 1980s when the Airport runway was extended, a roundabout was built here.
