Thomas Arthur Sample was born in 1875, he was a saddler by trade. In this photo his wife Hannah is holding baby Arthur, on the left is Elsie, then Rispah with Jimmy on the right.
The family lived at High Henshaw, Thomas served in the 1914-18 War and survived, he died in 1957 aged 81.
