Comment A typical middle class Yeadon family at the turn of the century. Mr. & Mrs. Tom Parsons & family. Mr Parsons was secretary to the Yeadon & Guiseley Coal Company & an official of the Yeadon Gas Company.

Tom was born in Lincolnshire and moved with his family to Wharfedale in the 1860’s.
He met Lois Wormald from Yeadon and they married in 1887, living in Harper Terrace. The two girls standing at the back are Cissie (L) who  married Noel Band and Lizzie (R) who married Tom Naylor. The young girl on the left is Doris who remained single, next Elsie, she became Mrs Alfred Clapham. The boy  standing on the right was Sydney, sat on a rug between Mrs Parsons and Tom  Parsons are Tom (L) and Joe.
Apart from one, their children were all given the middle name Wormald.
Tom was a coal agent, secretary and manager as per the photograph information above and the family lived in Netherfield Terrace for decades.
They both died in the 1930’s – Lois 1933 and Tom 1935.
