Comment | Bancroft House is at the top of Henshaw Lane, the Tarn public house is on the right edge. It was at some time the home of James Denison. It is now used as commercial premises, a sign on the building is for Airedale Glass and Glazing, Bancroft Works. The works were next used by Jim Armitage and Roger Barrett, partners in a double glazing business. Next Franklin Windows Ltd before they moved to a unit on Cemetery Road. Since then the building has been used by several companies. |

Situated at the top of Henshaw Lane it was once the home of James Denison. During the Second World War it was used as a Home Guard Post, latterly various businesses have operated from here.
On the right is the Tarn public house.

This building has been utilised by various companies, from the 1980s these have included Armitage and Barrett joiners and Franklin Windows.
