Comment | Wills Gill, a rare example of a series of Medieval field strips or croft plots which run from Carlton Lane to the present Queensway. Fields to the left belonged to the Busfield family who owned the Albion Dyeworks, the Busfield’s built two houses on this land. The Albion Dyeworks dominates the right side of the image, the tower of St. Oswald’s Church can be seen in the background. |
