It is addressed to Miss Alice Mosley in Bradford and the message is: “Dear Alice, I am enjoying myself very much. The weather has been very wet on Sunday and Monday, hope you are all well, Billy”

Looking in the direction of Towngate, this section of Oxford Road was referred to as Oxford Street.
The premises on the right has the sign “Refreshment Rooms”
On the reverse of this card is written:
“Dear Martha, Just a line to know if you are still in the land of the living. We are very busy at the mill at present and I hope you have plenty. Give my love to M A and remember me to Miss H, Chris”
It was sent to a Miss Grayson, 15 Plevna Street, Stourton.

Postcard of Oxford Street looking from Town Gate, the large building on the right with the ornate facade was the Guiseley Co-op. Above the roof tops is the spire of the Methodist Church on Oxford Road which continues from Oxford Street.

On the reverse is a message from the Rev. Miller, a Curate at St. Oswald’s Church “Feast Sunday!”.
It was sent to “The Guiseley Crowd, C E Holiday House, Bruntsfield, Sandown, Isle of Wight”. Presumably a group from Guiseley were staying there. Browns Butchers written in pencil above.
