My Maternal Grandparents lived in a house right opposite the Woolpack in Well Lane so these pictures bring back some very poignant memories of my childhood visits in the 1930’s when my brother and I used to go down and play at the Wells whilst my mother would be making tea.

My gran and grandad Ruby and Michael in the 1940 they may have their longer my mother name was Iris and she married my father Archibald Young in 1941 and I was born in 1942. I can remember the Stoles that lived in the houses on the other side but can’t remember the others names. I remember many happy times spent there. I would love to get in touch with anybody that can remember. My name is Barbara Horwood, maiden name Young.
