This was Dibb’s original shop on Town Gate, the window is full of tins of and advertisements for Borwicks Baking Powder.
There is also a poster for Birds Custard Powder.
The board to the right of the shop door advertises Chesire cheese at 1/- per pound and new laid eggs at 1/6d a dozen.

The business moved to larger premises on Otley Road (A65) and closed in 1989, when a supermarket opened directly opposite.
