Comment | The bride is Clara Louisa Towers, aged 26, she was a woollen weaver at Murgatroyds Moorfield Mill. She married Walter Long, aged 24, who worked as a mill furnisher also at Moorfield Mill. The marriage service was conducted at the Wesleyan Methodist Chapel in Yeadon. The donor of the image thinks that 141 High Street would have been on the same side as Moorfield Mill, which has now gone. On the back row, from the left are Clara Long (Walter’s sister), Percy Myers, Sarah Jane Myers (Walter Long’s sister), then the bride and groom Walter and Clara, Harry Towers (Clara’s brother), Florence Towers and Elizabeth Towers (sisters- in – law to Walter Long) Seated are Ernest Long, Rennard Towers (Clara’s brother).
