On the left edge part of Thompsons travel agency is just in view, next is an Oxfam shop then at number 79 are empty post office premises.
The post office had moved here from larger premises at the bottom of the High Street and was then transferred to a permanent home next to the entrance to Morrisons on the opposite side of the street.
Rosie Pound shop has lamps and fancy goods in the window, on the corner is the Yeadon Curtain Gallery.

This view looks down the High Street towards Town Street (the Steep), to the left is Ivegate, Silver Lane to the right.
Barclays Bank is on the left, an orange poster advertises a production called “Chicago Nights” to be performed in Yeadon Town Hall, the library is next but not in view.
Yorkshire Bank is on the right with railings in front of the building, “Box of Cards” (now closed) is on the right next to the Co-op Pharmacy.

To the left of the High Street is the Yorkshire Bank, moving right St. Gemma’s charity shop, Haigh’s bakery, Bradford & Bingley Building Society, Wm. Brown estate agents and the Co-op pharmacy. On the right side of the square is Yeadon library, in front of the steps is a Victorian style lamp.

Post 2009: Looking across the High Street, the stone gable end is the side of the Clothiers Arms, moving right, the single storey building with the blue trim is Yeadon Post Office then the entrance to Morrison’s supermarket.
The zebra crossing and safety railings were installed in 2009 when the High Street was refurbished.

After 2009: To the left of the High Street a shop selling fancy dress had closed down, then Coral Bookmakers.
Businesses to the right are Thomas Cook travel agents (now Yorkshire Building Society. January 2016) Next, Skipton Building Society then Co-operative travel agents (no longer trading here ) and finally Yeadon Liberal Club.
