Trades Hall – 1999

Seen from the car park of Morrisons supermarket, the sign on the wall of the Trades Hall reads “Yeadon Trades Hall Social Club. Samuel Webster’s Beers”.
On the left is Harper Lane, the view to the right looks across South View Road and the old Wesleyan Methodist Burial Ground (now grassed over, February 2014) to Lane Fox Court retirement homes.

Editor’s Note:
When I was an apprentice plumber/heating engineer with H & S Stott, Yeadon, in 1967, I assisted an older colleague Bernard) Booth, to erect the central heating flue pipe seen on the building. Was this the same flue stack in 1999!! You never can tell, but it certainly looks like it. Jack Brayshaw. 05 August 2021.
