Hall Farm – 1978
Front view of Hall Farm an Elizabethan house.
Originally it was an equilateral design, the central windows are seen here with two small upper windows directly under the roof.
This central core is flanked by “wings” with upper and lower windows of a similar size with apex roofs.
Later extensions have been added to the building.
In an adjacent field 644 heavy anti-aircraft battery was installed during World War 2. This would have been to protect the airfield (now Leeds Bradford Airport) and AVRO works where aircraft were being produced, these were (are) in close proximity to the property.
The remains of the battery are still almost complete.
