Comment | Situated on Greenbottom, Gideon Rawnsley founded this business in 1872. On the left edge is Guiseley Town Hall, moving right, Gallons grocers then a fruit shop run by Nelson James. Next, R L Jackson who was in business as a painter and decorator followed by J W Sample, saddler. A group of children pose outside Rawnsley’s shop, it is now an estate agents, restaurants and a dentist occupy the other units. This is opposite Aireborough Leisure Centre. |

Standing in the doorway of the shop are , on the left, Mr W E Rawnsley with his grandson Mr John Rawnsley on the right.
It was a gentleman’s outfitters and drapers business which was addressed as 1 Leeds Road, the bulk of the property faced the Green, as it was on a corner site.
