My Mum had one of these money boxes, it had to be taken to the bank to be opened — until Dad made his own key!

Christine: Do you know what the key looked like? I have a Yorkshire Penny Bank Ltd, round moneybox like that and I can’t open it! The coins in there are to be fair old currency that I put in it some years ago……It does have a Patent number on the bottom, 168828: also its dated June 11 1921.
