Two images of an Inscribed ceremonial trowel which belonged to Wilfred Boocock, it was a memento of the laying of the foundation stone for the new Sunday School at the Primitive Methodist Chapel (Provident) on Otley Road. Some members of the congregation “bought” bricks which had their names on them, when the Sunday School was demolished in 1984 some families recovered their named bricks including Julie Boocock who donated these images.

Hello Julie. Fascinating photographs! I descend from William’s uncle Pliny Boocock, William was my grandfather Joe’s first cousin. I have a wedding photo which includes William, and now I know Adeline is in it also. The chap second from right is also in my photo as is Wilfrid. I would love to know if you recognise anyone else in my photo. Guy Boocock.
