In the foreground right side are W B Cartwright’s next to Larkfield Dam. To the left side Cartwrights offices and running along Larkfield Road from the left middle of image is Storey Evans. In the centre is Mount Vernon Road flanked by terraced housing behind them a large farmers field. Top left of the field you can see Peasehill Close, then Batter lane and continuing around the bend towards Canada Road.
Both Storey Evans, Carwrights’s, the terraced housing and farmers field have long since been demolished and are now completely covered with new build housing, in which are Lakeside Terrace, Mount Vernon Road, Lakeside Crescent and Keelham Drive.
At the extreme right hand side of the farmers field there was a cinder footpath wich ran from Larkfield Road through Cartwright’s to Intake Farm passing both the cricket and football fields to the left and right of the footpath.
