Comment | February 1966: Official opening of the RAFA Club on New Road, the guest of honour was cricketing legend Freddie Trueman OBE, seen on the left of the front row. On his right are Councillor and Mrs Sydney Rhodes, Chairman and Deputy Chairman of Aireborough Urban District Council. The man behind Freddie is Councillor William Hudson, the other men were Mr J Hughes Branch Chairman and Fire Service Station Officers Ciffe and Hogg with their wives. |
