| Comment | Originally planned for a couple of weeks earlier, it had been rained off. It took place instead in front of the Town Hall, here we see several rides, stalls were inside the Hall. The carnival had to be called off due to excessive rainfall which left the field site at Yeadon Tarn (Dam) waterlogged. Stalls were set up in Yeadon Town Hall as an alternative venue. Yeadon’s 100th Carnival!
Crowds thronged the High Street and Tarn Field to enjoy the parade and all the attractions on offer at Tarn Field. Avril Harrison admires the model boat display by Leeds and Bradford Model Boat Club who are based at Yeadon Tarn.
