Photo taken from the corner with Silver Lane, cars are parked on Town Hall Square, moving right are Tea Cosies café, Hair Diffusion, Platinum wedding dresses and “Wa” Sole shoe shop.
This had once been Chippindale’s shoe shop.

The “Ginger Dog” café, latterly Penny Black bar and restaurant. This was originally the Post Office, since it closed the building has been used for various bar/restaurant enterprises.

November 1st 2015: Just in view on the left is ‘Tea Cosies’ Café then E-Cigarette Zone, one of many outlets which are now selling vapour devices as an alternative to smoking tobacco.

In the past this shop had been a pharmacy and more recently (2014) a florists.

March 2016: On the left is ‘Tea Cosies’ café, the view looks to the Great Outdoors shop (now closed July 2016) at the corner with Ivegate, properties to the right of the shop are on the Steep (Town Street).
The building facing on the right was a branch of Natwest Bank which closed December 2015.

Originally this building was Yeadon Picture House, it was converted into a public house named the Aviator, now renamed as The Yard.

An undated photograph of the former Yeadon Picture House, High Street, Yeadon. When the cinema closed it became a Royal Bingo Club, later it was changed to a public house named the Aviator, the The Yard. This has since closed down and the premises are currently empty (September 2018).
