Front row from left to right: sister Pauline in pink dress, Harold ? (Rennie’s husband), Philip himself in front of Barry, ? kneeling. Clifford Proctor played the piano in the pub smoke room in the evenings and at weekends, Harold and Rennie were friends from Sheffield who visited most weekends. Barry was a lodger at the Oddfellows for several years in the early 1960s. Grandmother Lucy ran the pub with grandfather from 1933 – 1952 and then on her own until approximately 1971 when she retired aged 84. Ike Kitchen took over the licence” |
