Sally and Alice Blaymires with their mother Clara who was celebrating her 90th birthday.
Clara died in 1963 aged 95.
They were staunch members of Queen Street Chapel, Sally acted in many of their dramatic productions.

A photo from our archives of a young Alice Blaymires.
She was possibly one of the family who were members of Queen Street Chapel.
We have several photographs in our archives of the Blaymires family, this one however carried no further information other than Alice’s name written on the reverse.

The location was probably Queen Street Chapel which the sisters attended.

Michael Rhodes: Alice Blaymires was born in Bradford, circa 1896, daughter of George Willie Blaymires (born at Shelf, circa 1868), by his wife the former Clara Brogden (born at Bradford, circa 1869, married 1893). In 1911 the family were at 6, Netherfield Terrace, Yeadon. Alice’s occupation – worsted spinner. A sister, Sarah Ann, was born Bradford, circa 1903. The GRO shows one Alice Blaymires who married Albert Killerby in the Wharedale district in 1936. She was born 31 Dec 1895, and died in January, 1996, in Leeds, aged 100. The same Alice as pictured on the left?
