Sydney George Dimond – born in Birkenhead in 1882, the son of a United Methodist Free Church Minister.
As a teenager he and his brother Charles were ironmongers but by 1911 both were Ministers in the Free Church and in Beeston Hill.
The electoral registers of 1918 have Sydney and his father in Upper Queen Street, Yeadon, although he had married two years earlier.
He later lived in Keighley. In 1939 he was a tutor at the Methodist Training College in Richmond, Surrey. He died aged eighty-five in Beckenham, Kent and was survived by his wife Mabel and two sons.
