Comment | Hubert Myers was born in Yeadon in 1875, in the period 1901-1910 he played cricket for Yorkshire County Cricket, he was an all rounder, playing a total of 201 games for Yorkshire. At this time Lord Hawke was Captain of Yorkshire, Myers played with him. When his career with Yorkshire was over he emigrated to Tasmania where he became both coach and captain of the Tasmanian team. He died in Hobart in 1944. Myers is on the right here, the other man was called Wilkinson, it could be William Wilkinson or Henry Wilkinson, both were playing for Yorkshire during the same period as Myers. |
