| Comment | We received a message from Lorraine Harrington nee Ridley to say that sadly her Dad Alan Ridley had very recently passed away and that she had found this photo of her dad who is 4th on the left as you look at the photograph (the happy chap) and wondered if anyone recognised the others in the photo as she was sure that they were all Yeadon men. “Dad was born in Stainforth in Doncaster but has lived in Yeadon since he was a teenager, he went to Benton Park School but not sure if it was called that. He worked for a coal company on Kirk lane near the post office but then worked at A E Turbines in Yeadon and mostly in Shipley on Dockfield Road for 30 years or so. He married Hazel Brayshaw, a relation of the Brayshaw’s who made the caravans on Marshall Street in Yeadon, but divorced mum many years ago. Dad was only 74 years of age.” |
