Comment The Primitive Methodist Chapel, also called Providence Chapel on Otley Road undergoing demolition. It had closed in 1966, Morrison’s supermarket would be built on part of the site. A green space with seating marks where the chapel had stood.

Work is underway to demolish the Primitive Methodist Chapel on Otley Road, it was also known as Providence Chapel, in this view the roof tiles and windows have been removed.

Located on Otley Road, the garden marks the site of the grounds of the Primitive or Providence Methodist Chapel. In the background are shop units and a bar with Guiseley Job Centre on the 1st floor above. These were built alongside the Morrison’s store which is to the left.

There are over 500 remains in this burial ground, here are a few surnames supplied by a relative of one of those buried –
