My Mum and Dad lived on this street between 1949 and 1950, when they moved to Billingwood Drive, Rawdon, where I was born in 1951. (Ed. Jack Brayshaw)

I lived in one of the back to back properties until aged 5 in 1958. The Rawdon telephone exchange was at the bottom of the street and my mother was a telephonist there post war. These fine stone built houses were demolished and replaced with modern houses.
