On the right is Mr A L Brayshaw, the two men are holding drawers which are to be fitted into a new showman’s living wagon.

In the background is an older wagon which is being given attention, the workshop was on Marshall Street.

The man on the left is his brother-in-Law Ben Baxter who worked as a painter and decorator for Brayshaw’s.

Leslie Brayshaw with steam engine MO 2916, this was possibly on Town Hall Square for Yeadon Carnival.
Mr Brayshaw was one of the Brayshaw family who manufactured living wagons and caravans, their works was on Marshall Street.

The Steam engine pictured above was manufactured by Burrell. This type of steam engine was known as a Showmans Road Locomotive and was No:3950, name Progress. It was built in 1923 and was a Class ‘D’, with compound cylinders. Its registration number is MO 2916.
