In this view, the bridge has gone and again looks towards New Road Side, but this time the bridge has been demolished.

Looking up Henshaw Lane in the direction of Harper Lane, after the railway bridge had been demolished. The stone buttresses which had supported the bridge can be seen on either side of the road, they are still in situ. Henshaw Avenue runs to the right behind the bus shelter.

The old plumbers shop (Greaves?) – at Christmas time the shop window would be decorated with a wonderful tableau which was lit at night. It was a beacon of light at a time (1970s/80s) before the outdoor decorations people display now were fashionable.
