E Clapham & Co., were solicitors and part of the Ivor Gaunt Group, staff are seen here at a cocktail party celebrating the 25th anniversary of Ivor Gaunt’s qualification as a solicitor.

W Ivor Gaunt celebrated his 25 years as a qualified solicitor with colleagues of E Clapham & Sons. The venue for a cocktail party was his home, Brunswick House, Leeds Road, Otley.

They were my Mum’s solicitor’s who were known in 60s as Clapham Edwards and Turnbull and very helpful to me. I love this photo as it is SO 1950s, the chaps all smart with Brylcream hair and the great fashion displayed by the ladies. I am sure the solicitor’s is still there the last time I was in Guiseley last year.
