Comment Reputedly this is the oldest Inn in Guiseley, licensees have included 1812, William Smith, 1824 John and Chris Woodhead, 1838 S Bateson, 1853 Jonathan Lane, 1870 John Umpleby, 1904 M Robinson. It was used by Guiseley Celtic as their headquarters, also meetings for the commutation of tithes were held here. Above the front door is a bunch of hops sign.

Situated on Towngate, this public house is said to be the oldest in Guiseley.
