Comment | Tom Crook’s Jewelers shop was at 6 Springfield Road, Norman G Bolton became his apprentice. When Tom died in 1970 he took over the business and changed the shop name to N G Bolton. His son Robert, an expert on gems joined him in 1975, Norman continued to work in the shop until he died in 2013. By then the business had been the target of 23 robberies and goods stolen from Robert’s car, the shop closed in 2013 as a result. |
