Neil Harrison was the transport manager at Wilson’s Silver Cross works, he was also a cornet player with Guiseley Brass Band which had then been in existence for over 100 years and still played at most local events.
He said ” Some of our instruments are more than 60 years old. They include a euphonium and 2 baritones which would cost over £1,000 to replace and a whole new set which we would like would be around £7,000 but we have just paid £780 for a set of new uniforms”. Donated by Anne North.
