Eddie was 18 months older than myself and he was my uncle which used to make us laugh. We were pals when we were children. He was a lovely person kind and caring with a great sense of humour. I remember he tried to teach me to ride a bike, he promised he would hold the saddle and not to worry, then when I looked round he had let go and I fell off, consequently I have never ridden a bike. It was Eddie who got me interested in this Historical Society as my granparents came from Yeadon ( Morrell) and Rawdon (Jenkinson). Through Eddie I found family graves in Yeadon Cemetery.

Hi .. I used to play cards with Eddie and his cousins John and Peter with Bill Wood one Saturday night, his mum used to make us sandwiches and get us cider. He was a great pal.
