Comment | This is the mechanism for the church clock, the photo was taken prior to an electric winding system being added in 1990. Potts of Leeds made the clock in 1922, it has a Westminster chime on every quarter of an hour on 4 bells. These were cast in Loughborough by Taylors foundry, the heaviest weighing over a ton. Examining the mechanism is Mr Adrian Allsop, a former churchwarden and organist. |
