Comment | Production of “The Student Prince” – 1936 |
A scene from a production of “The Student Prince” by Sigmund Romberg.
Here, the heroine Kathy is surrounded by students serenading her with the song “Drink. Drink. Drink”.
The Rawdon productions were always staged around November time to avoid the productions of the Yeadon, Guiseley and Horsforth Societies.
The Rawdon Amateur Operatic Society merged in 2002, with Horsforth Grove Amateur Operatic Society forming The Grove and Rawdon Theatre Company now known as Brass-Neck Theatre company based in Yeadon Town Hall.
