Comment This cobblers shop was located in the Little London area. Trevor King – It was Jack Batty’s shop and stood where the disabled car parking space is in the Princess car park, my grandfather was also a cobbler and friends with him.

This was my father’s cobblers shop, he was there from early 30s until the late 60s. He trained as a shoemaker and made me two pairs of sandals when I was a teenager. I remember George King when I was a child calling at the shop when he went to his allotment and he would send me some yellow tomatoes that he had grown. 15 January 2021.
