Comment | Miss Margaret Bailey, her stage act was male impersonation. Her father Tom Bailey was one of the founder members of the People’s Theatre (Peeps), his two daughters Margaret and Laura often appeared as principals in the pantomimes there. The family lived in a small yard behind the Robin Inn which faced onto George Street. |

Many thanks Jools Symons for your identification comments of your Grandma Maggie Symons. I hope that this photograph has brought back some happy memories for you and your family. Thank you also for pointing out that your Grandma played in Dick Whittington in 1910. Please keep looking at the Theatre Royal (Peeps) pages as shortly I will be updating it into 4 possibly 5 new pages incorporating all the pantomimes we have on record for the Peeps. Best wishes, Jack Brayshaw, AHS Admin Team.
