| Comment | The donor of this image, Fred Newton, writes that he assisted the chef’s to set up on the Friday, then got up at 4am on Saturday morning to light the fire. Over the following hours the ox was basted “How delicious to have a large slice between two slices of bread”. Mr Newton is unsure what the occasion was which warranted an ox roast! |
