Westfield Children – 1950s
A wonderful photo of 3 girls “tippling over” on railings, an innocent display of athletic prowess. The girl on the left is Jenny, the donor of the photo, Anne Turner nee Gillingham is in the middle with Gillian Davis on the right.
The man on the right is her father Bert Davis, he was an electrical contractor, his van is on the left. The railings or bars as they were locally called were erected to prevent children running into the road.
