Ned’s full name was James Edward Lamb and he was born in 1866. He was a woollen weaver as a young man and later turned to photography at the start of the 1900’s. His family lived in Dam Lane and Moorfield Terrace but in 1907 they had moved to 125 High Street where he was registered with his widowed mother. Tax returns showed that there was a studio and house there. He died in August 1939 and was interred in Yeadon Cemetery.
