The girls were born three years apart in Rawdon – Kathleen in 1904 and Nora 1907. Both were baptised at St. Peter’s, were married there and both married a man named Smith (Arthur and Newell respectively). Their father Tom was a Rawdon man born and bred as were his ancestors back to the 1700’s. He is buried in St. Peter’s churchyard.
