|Comment||Robert Howard had a shop on the High Street which was located partly on what would become the site of the Yorkshire Bank (now closed). He was a paper merchant and had a printing works at Well Hill where he manufactured paper bags. He also sold wool, worsteds, stockings, and re- footed stockings. His son, Sydney Howard became a famous comedian. The photo was taken be Ernest E Slater on a glass slide.|
