Re R448
Rachel O’Connor: The middle one has a look of a young Tommy Routh. Maybe it was in Routh’s yard which was behind the top end of Football (Springfield Terrace). They used some of the houses on that terrace built by Routh’s to practice rendering on so some have the stonework rendered over, front and back.

Re R448
Joe Booth: That’s my grandad Phil Routh on the end in white. x

I remember Tom Routh when he lived at the top of Football after the war and he was a plasterer and had two sons Phil and Derek I believe.

Re F697
kevin Myers
My name is Kevin Myers, I am a grandson of Grace Ann Routh (1906 to 1993) (she married George Leonard Myers (1904 to 1981) in 1927)
I believe this is the same house as the census 1911 which is 25 football, Yeadon. I assume this photo was taken 1916 to 1918 as Joseph William Routh didn’t join the army until 1916, therefore, I have set the date at 1917 to give the approximate ages of all concerned using the 1911 census.
L to R: Phil Routh 8 yrs, Grace Ann Routh 11 yrs, Joseph William Routh 33 yrs, Sophia Routh 35 yrs (wife, nee Sophia Nunn) George Thomas (Tom) Routh 3 yrs , and I assume ‘Lizzie’ Routh, sister of Joseph William Routh and living in the same house , aged approximately 23 yrs.
