Park View Wesleyan Methodist Chapel – 1983
This chapel was situated on Dibb Lane and closed in 1983.
Above the Altar were a trio of stained glass windows erected as a memorial, this one was on the left facing South.
The wording is part of a dedication which was spread across the three windows the entire message was:
“To the Glory of God and in Loving memory of the boys of this Church and Sunday School who gave their lives in the Great War 1914-1919. This window is given by John Albert Rhodes, Micklefield House, Rawdon and Thompson Houlden Waite, Warren House, Yeadon”.

Central section of a war memorial honouring the fallen of the 1914-1918 war.
It has a scroll above the names of the men which reads:
“The following members of this congregation and Sunday School served in the Great War 1914-1919” (the Armistice was declared on November 11th 1918).

Wooden font with a prayer stool on the left, the organ pipes can be seen with the board on the wall for hymn numbers.
This Arts and Crafts style chapel was fortunately not demolished after closure but converted into apartments.
