Brenda Taylor: Was it Steven Light who used to faint in assemblies? I have a very vague memory of that but could be wrong. Definitely looks like Les Hobson with the ball. Mark Waters on end at right front row? Was Kevin Wright in that year? If so might be him next to Graham Denison. I was Brenda Hemsworth those days.

A lot of memories awakened by this photo, only wish I could remember more of their names. David Schofield back left, Kevin Wright and Graham Denison middle back, Anthony Peart(?) next to Kevin Wright, Colin Jackson front left, and Les Hobson with the ball. Almost sure that Martyn Swift and Ivan Gill are in there as well, but hard to be sure after fifty years!

I was there in the audience – Rumpelstiltskin, 1965 or thereabouts, in the old Nissan hut school. I recognise Stuart Fawcett and Catherine Painter in the front row, and is that David Mackey wearing the crown?

I donated the two photos of Westfield School, it was when Prince Philip came to Ives Mill, 1949, the class was Mr Hurley’s 1948, I supplied most of the names. I am in the middle row seated 5th from right, nee Greenwood.

Thank you so much to Jean for the photo of Westfield School. I was in that photo – in the middle of middle row with my arms crossed, I was Brenda Lewis. I remember some names, Maureen Lyons – second from the left third row and Hilary Mease? third from the right third row, I remember others I am trying to remember their names.
I am sure I would be on the other photo at 6yrs old but can’t quite make out where I am, can anyone help?
