B102 – Yeadon Dam, Undated.

Yeadon Dam – Undated

Two men take a trip on the water astride a machine called a Baines Aqua Tandem. It appears to be a tandem frame mounted onto a platform, there are no wheels but the cogs are attached to a device at the rear. Presumably this would propel the riders through the water when they pedalled. The chap at the back looks distinctly unimpressed, he’s not dressed for a ducking!

Can anyone remember the name of the cricket club that played at this venue?
I used to visit in the 1950’s when my father played for Turner Tannings based in Bramley, Leeds.

Re S202

I remember the playground like this, the boy is playing on the “Spiders Web” behind the “Umbrella” is broken to the left of the spiders web was the “Chocolate Box”. There was also “the Flying Plank”, “Pendulum” (like a flying boat) next to the sand pit.
