|Yeadon Carnival 2015. By Lauren Duffy, Aged 12, of Yeadon.
Happy 4th of July! This year’s theme was Independence Day and it was a great day! It was a lovely local gathering and the weather was very warm and every one had a lovely time.
The carnival queen and her helpers looked beautiful in their lovely gowns and flawless hair and makeup! They definitely arrived in style in the amazing old fashioned cars and the queen had her magical car and arrived perfectly.
The actual parade was extremely busy and there were lots of schools involved including Rufford Park, Yeadon Westfield Juniors, and Infant School and many others! Peace Dance Academy did an amazing performance despite a few technical difficulties and even the younger children rocked on the dance floor!
The rides and stalls were no doubt extremely fun and it was good to support the local shops. The clowns entertained everyone! The food went down a blast and it was so nice to see so many happy faces! The Carnival was lots of fun, performances were amazing and the weather was kind to us so it was an awesome day!
